Thank you for coming into my web space, my virtual home. A world of images and dreams, of passion and danger, of wild bursts of laughter and heart-wrenching tears. A world of words.
The process of using words to create an inner landscape complete with sounds and smells and emotions remains inspiring to me. A story conceived in one mind, transformed into squiggles on a page, remains dormant until it unfolds as a similar story in the mind of another. It's a magical endeavor, one that requires both the writer and the reader.
So I'm grateful for all my readers, and hope you have as much fun in the reading as I do in the writing. Browse awhile here in my cyberhome and enjoy your visit. You're welcome back any time.

"Coffee Break", Map of Murder:
"A mailroom clerk dreams of doing an important job in Robin Merrill's Coffee Break. While it is the shortest piece included it is concisely well done, with not a word wasted. It will be interesting to keep an eye on the bright future of this author."

For more than half her life, Robin lived in Alaska, the most interesting years as a homesteader in the wilderness. From there, she moved to California, where she graduated from university while her two children finished high school. She lived in Arizona for fifteen years, and now travels extensively, often visiting her children in Chicago and enjoying her new granddaughter.
The proud grandmother offers this story: "After spending six months in Alaska, I left for Chicago on a morning the temperature hung at -38°. I swear the Chicago wind felt colder. I arrived at my daughter's home on January 16, 2007 in time to leave for the hospital.
